    Hi All,

1st handle lasted 4 years, the replacement has only lasted 18 months. The p/n stamped on the handle is DC6400561A. However, having checked the online shop here, the “A” version is a white handle and the “D” version is the silver. I can’t recall the source, but I believed it to be to be “genuine” at the time.

Can anyone explain how the p/n could be incorrect on the handle I have. Injection moulders ran out and over-sprayed the white ones silver, etc. Was it a knock-off? I can’t imagine a genuine handle only lasting this amount of time. On the shop here they have a Qualtex alternative and was wondering if they are more sturdier in that area. Opinions please?

    All responses are gratefully appreciated,

Part numbers change all the time for any variety of reasons.

The end letter there I’ve no idea but Samsung do change them, a lot.

    Hi K,

thanks for your reply. The area that has snapped is directly behind the lock mechanism (I’m happy to post a pic).

In your opinion should the Qualtex alternative be any sturdier?
