    Hi,

Thought I would share my views on the new Sebo D4 Premium vac.
Bought from the never knowingly undersold department store 3 weeks ago and delivered direct from Sebo UK.
This is a very well made and solid vacuum. We like the very long power lead that can be rewound at the press of a button. A very large dust bag (6 ltr) with attached snap closing lid when changing. The motor is very quiet even at full power. Power adjustment is made at the handle and is continous and not stepped so you can choose the right amount of suction for the specific task. There is a round LED indicator on the cylinder which revolves at different speeds according to the power level which I find not much use. The D4 premium came supplied with 2 floor heads, The ET1 power head and the vario combi. The ET1 is solid and heavy but once attached is easily powered over carpets. You have to adjust the brush height to the carpet manually and is not automatic as per the X4 upright. The vario combi worked well on our hard floors and loop wool carpet.
Now the big letdown (for us anyway) is the suction hose which is embedded with the electrical connection for the ET1 power floorhead. We find the hose very cumbersome and not very flexible and keep havng to untwist it whilst vacuuming and find ourselves constantly stepping over the hose, also where the hose connects to the cylinder it does not rotate 360 degrees so you find that you are pulling the cylinder along backwards when changing direction and running over the unwound electrical cable. Also the hose rotation at the cylinder is not very smooth and tends to stick. We knew before purchase that the hose did not rotate 360 degrees but did not think it would lead to such a problem.
This is such a problem to us that myself and wife now refuse to use the D4 only after using it 3 times and now revert back to our old X4 and will be reboxing the D4 and selling asap.
