    I have a customer with a AEG 1 1/2 oven which has a oven and grill in the top as well as the bottom. The oven dispay comes on but as soon as you try and switch on any part. eg grill, oven on any of the ovens it trips the RCD staight away, so I am eliminating and element fault.

    Any ideas???

    No idea, but I have an AEG competence oven which trips the RCD (not the circuit MCB) randomly. Often on initial turning the switch but sometimes 30 mins into cooking.

    I’ve used my multimeter on the elements and all seem OK. I’m not sure whether to call an appliance engineer or an electrician?

    Any views?
