HNC170 NOISY

    How on earth do you strip these things down
    sounds like a tractor
    i think the rumbling is coming from the front drum wheels
    is there an easy way to strip down and inspect

    Lid off.
    Screws out of front panel. Even top screws of door hinges.
    Screws out of where the condenser lives.
    Screws out of top of panel near timer.

    Im getting nowhere fast with this am I…
    Just unscrew everything in sight & more.
    Then you will meet the duct assy which hold the front pulleys…

    Hang on, first of all make sure its not the fan at the back near the heater thats loose.

    i dunno but the take him or her out and shoot them. how on earth gias guys put up with these is beyond me. i tend to refuse any repair that requires a total stipdown unless im absolutely needing a job.
    having said that ive got one thats tripping on for tomorrow. hoping its the mains filter.
