Fisher & Paykel GW703 Fills and Drains simultaneoulsy

Great forum. I hope someone can help me I have F&P GW703 that at first would stop mid cycle and beep. If I turn it off at the wall switch and back on it would continue to the end of the cycle. However now it fills and drains simultaneously and will not progress beyond this point. We had a F&P Serviceman call and he diagnosed a new board(?) was required at a cost of AU$560. Now I can buy and new F&P machine for AU$1200 so I wasn’t up spending that much to repair a 16 year old machine. My questions are:
1. Could I source and replace this “board” myself for significantly less than AU$560 and if so how much?
2. Would this repair cost make economic sense given the age of the existing machine verses Au$1200 for a new machine?
