Hi, i have a Diplomat ADP8322 which the circulation pump was stuttering on, it had the original Askoll pump which ive now replaced with the upgraded version from the shop on here- but it still stutters during cycle and isnt cleaning plates although water is circulating and spraying!!

I was sure the pump was at fault. 🙁

Its like the power feed to the pump is being cut for a split second every so often, this seems to be worst on the final part of the 30min cycle..

    Any help much appreciated!

    Gary.

Check the feed pipe to the spray arms as they can break at the bottom that gives a poor wash result.

    Hi K.

I got home tonight and checked the pipe you mentioned- it was popped out as you suggested and securing clips broken! What a guy you are!

Ive managed a DIY repair for now and its washing better although ive not had time to sit as it goes though a cycle to see if its stopped the pump stuttering!

Is there any way that pipe being off could cause the pump to stutter?

Thanks a lot for the quality advice, very much appreciated!! 😀

Yes, it’d cause the “stuttering” noise at times.

This part is the one that gives out:

The part that is broken on mine is the part below what you have posted, it is held to the top of the sump with 4 torq screws. Where the feed pipes clip in the lugs to hold the pipe in place have broken.

How could it cause the stuttering? As im happy to buy parts as long as i know 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} it would be the cause of the stuttering, but i dont want to buy part after part without getting to the bottom of it. Ive already replaced the pump at £80 which appears to not even have been at fault!

    Thanks again for the advice!

i,ve never had a brand new type motor stutter before myself , but i,ve had the bottom plate brake 481241818341 – loads which cause the old type motors to wear out very fast , tho i would of done both at the same time due to knowing what i was looking for .
    are the spray arm cleared?
pipe not kinking to heater or motor when under pressure ?
ps i found repairs to the litle goal post clips on bottom plate never normal last long and it will pop out again

Thanks for the reply and advice Karv.

Why would this cause the motor to wear out fast? Due to over spinning because of lack of pressure? The new motor done it within the first 5min of being fitted- so i doubt its the motor- more something controlling it/ supplying it?

Feed pipes appear clear, Pipe feeding heater isnt kinking either no..

I havent repaired the goal post clips, i have it well secured, much better than originally designed! Not that that would be hard huh!

I cant be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure yet, but i think refitting the pipe has stopped the stuttering problem. Is that possible? I dont understand how that pipe being off could cause the pump to stutter..

The part number is the part i would require due to the broken clips- thanks for that!
