I would appreciate any assistance in solving this rather urgent job, customer is moving up to Scotland at the weekend and doesnt want to leave this as a problem for the new occupants of the property.

Problems are….(1) Both grill and oven indicators failed at the same time (grill and oven both still heating).
    (2) Main oven getting very hot.

I guess that the main oven overheating is thermostat, but what is the common denominator between the two neons?

    Circuit diagram Anyone?.

    Many Thanks in anticipation,

    Regards,

    Mike

Normally the neons are switched by a selector switch contact on the front of t’stat. Have seen them fall out of their lens a few times. If t’stats are turned too far or turned the wrong way (anti-clockwise) the t’stat can jump out of its piggy back position behind the selector sw’, then no matter what postion the knob was turned on front it will make no difference as ‘stat is sitting off.
