Hi Guys finally got round to getting on the trade forums.
Having trouble with a Hotpoint WD420
The pump was blocked last week. Took the pump off and removed a hair clip.
I was called back a week later and was told the machine wouldnt empty again. Cleared a bit of debris from the filter.
But now when you put the machine on spin, the pump runs, the machine emptys. When the water has emptied the pump stops and the drum just turns slowly. If you leave it the pump kicks in again after about 90 seconds. Then the same happens again.
It never kicks into a fast spin.
The brushes are fine and I cant find any loose connections.Re: Hotpoint WD420 wont spin (not brushes)

It could be a pressure switch fault or even a partial blockage in the sump air chamber.
You may end up having to send the main PCB to EMW for testing though.
