KeymasterHi, hope you can help
Whilst cooking Sunday lunch on autotimer, the power gave up on the who oven. I’ve checked the plug fuse and bulbs and all are ok. I’m not sure where to go next.. can you help? 🙁

KeymasterIs it totally dead? If it is it could be either the mains block or timer in a standard type oven but I am not familiar with that particular model.

Double check the model number Jimbo please, EBD875 doesn’t exist, unless it’s an obscure or non UK product.

Ah, it’s a gas oven which throws a different light on the matter slightly.
Are you sure the clock/timer is set to manual ?
If not, please call a Corgi registrered engineer to check for you. There is a cut out/safety device as all ovens have, normally there is a reason for them to “trip” though.

In that case, apart from checking the usual things it’s engineer time.
If you let us have your postcode, one of the UK Whitegoods many Corgi engineers may be able to assist.

There you go, from the directories. Ask for Phil Kendal or email him using the link below. Please tell him where you got the details.
The rate you can discuss and agree with Phil as we are all Independant’s so it varies a bit dependant on region.

Spoke to Phil, but unfortunately Electrolux is not his speciality and he’s quote a distance (Blackpool, about 50 miles). He was very helpful and gave me a Stockport contact, Pattersons.
BTW, the Phils landline phone number is incorrect and is missing a ‘0’ on the end. I’ve advised Phil
Thanks for all your help

Hi Lads
Just to let you know I got it fixed eventually. Gas engineer 1 gave up; Engineer 2 found it within 30 mins and put in new part – internal thermal cut out; he’s also asked me to let monitor it as it may possibly need a cooling fan. Lucikly he had worked for Electrolux previously and obviously understood what he was doing.
Now I can cook the Christmas Turkey (hm!! perhaps maybe foot and shot come into this somewhere)
Thanks for you advice
