KeymasterI should really publicly thank people for the things that they do that don’t appear on here as an issue or whatever. I’m bad for not doing it. Not because I don’t appreciate the phenomenal effort a lot of you guys put in at all, more because I’m forgetful and short on time.
However, today I was knocked for six with the help we got from Roy Waring’s. They went way beyond the norm to help us out.
It was, literally, the delivery from hell on a 1607. Everything that possibly could have gone wrong did. The poor customer just wanted a machine delivered and installed and it appeared that everything conspired to prevent that.
The delivery was going to go to RW but the scheduling didn’t pan out, the delivery company got it, cocked up the install after failing to contact the customer due to a poor bit of info.
Meanwhile HiWay, unbeknown to us, had delivered the cancelled machine to RW!!
Then, RW’s engineer called out only to find that Sprint had trashed the inlet valve by cross threading the inlet hose. this after “failing” the delivery as not possible to install… uh huh.
Two delivery companies, both screwed the pooch on one customer.
Was I angry, oh hell yes.
But, my gratitude to James at RW for sorting it all out. In minutes. The efforts were hugely appreciated by us all. And, I do mean, hugely.
They took the wrongly delivered machine, today, swapped the machines over and one happy customer singing praises for RW and ISE was the result.
Thankfully the customer was very understanding and saw that both we and RW had done everything humanly possible to sort it.
Big kudos for all concerned. Except the delivery companies who might have a couple of not so pleasant to read emails sitting in their inboxes for Monday morning.
It’s all too often that the service stuff you guys do impresses me hugely and, as I said, I’m bad for not saying much but I (and everyone else) don’t forget when you bail us out the cr4p. This today was a brilliant example where one of you guys bailed us out said cr4p, expertly.
Anyway, point is, this sort of thing and the service you guys give is usually beyond world class which is deeply appreciated and never forgotten.
Thank you.

Well done the Waring gang – and even more amazing a customer that understands. 😀

Those hoses are easy to cross thread though, especially if being done by a delvery driver with no service engineers background.
