    Got a call to an LG tumble drier with a BE fault code not sure what this is can anybody help please JJ

    belt broken or the micro switch has failed. Common fault on these

    Is that the door micro switch, what is the belt like to change on one of these never done or seen one JJ

    No not the door microswitch. There is another one down by the motor bracket to make sure there is tension on the belt.

    Often the microswitch falls out of the housing and it then thinks the belt has broken giving a BE error.

    On attendence first check to see if the belt is on and tensioned, if not check this microswitch is still in place, if it is the most likely is the switch has failed, followed by the harness.

    My engineers do these all day long and reckon its a 20-30 minute job.

    Would i still be able to get info on this dryer going to attempt to fit belt tomorrow, JJ
