Yep the old Hotpoint Quality Drier is again up to its old tricks, Leaking water from water container at the top.

Tried leveling it again, but these machines are so light they move easily.

Tested pump that is working ok, tubes are clear and condenser is clean. Have cut round hole a bit larger to see if drips can be caught better but alas no luck. Could take of the pipe and put it into a bucket but that defeats the object.

Thinking of buying an ISE but they are a lot of money and nearest dealer is 30 miles away from Lowestoft (so much for local).

    Any suggestions?

    Hi

The pumps tend to work when tested short time.

They often fail half way through drying time, causing water build up & then leaks.

The pump comes as a kit which would suggest common fault!

    Cheers

Tested the pump with a good few litres of water and was fine. water is getting to the top and collecting in the resivor housing

Now totally fed up with the C**point tumble dryer. have decided to replace it. Either ISE or Miele me thinks. Will have to ring a few of the ISE dealers near to Lowestoft and see what sort of response I get. Have concerns over the possible response times should it break down.
