ParticipantTo all hpt engineers (help) I have a m/c that the reduce crease light comes on and flashes but not all the time also you can`t cancel the program and it wont turn off with the on off button so I`m gussing its front panel card rather than the bottom module any suggestions please. mike

A couple of suggestions, always give the lights by number from top to bottom, left to right etc, functions change but the number as an error code doesn’t.
Assuming that your flashing light is light 2 then suggestion number 2 is to check the Known Error codes thread.
This reveals that light 2 flashing is F04, pressure switch stuck on empty.
it could be a duff pressure switch, gunged up pressure chamber or faulty PCB for starters.
Unlikely to be console module.

Always a good idea to include this information in your initial post. 😉
Why have you ruled out the pressure switch, they are prone to failure, sometimes intermittant.
Still don,t think it is the console pcb, unless one of the buttons is stuck in a little.
If all else fails there is EMW to fall back on.

Would the pressure switch cause the cancel and the on/off buttons to stop working then.also I suppose I should have mentioned
that the lower module has been changed but it was doing the same with the previous module.November 24, 2011 at 8:34 pm #364237iadom

Its best to mention everything that has been tried to date, it saves people asking if you have tried this or that or the other. 😀
In most cases when the machine goes into error it will not switch off or cancel, you have to unplug first.
Personally I would have swapped out the pressure switch first. Also this machine has the sealed drum so darned difficult to get at or clear the pressure chamber. 😥

one of the nice things of having a wife as a nurse is that she can find all sorts of things that bend and can clear pressure chambers !!!!!

That really is an “OOOHH Matron” moment.

I thought that was a pointer to the 680uf.
Or does it have to have all lights flashing for it to be that?
