Now I’ve upset a few people, Mum’s oven is playing up. Its not getting to temperature, which is going to make Christmas Day Lunch interesting.

Is the oven fan running correctly?

This oven has a fan element and also a base element. These need to be tested with a megger or suitable multimeter with the oven isolated from the mains supply.

Sadly the base element is listed as possibly obsolete, it might be time for you to treat mum to an early Christmas present. 😉

Base element is for top oven, there is unlikely to be one single component that would cause both ovens to have the same fault.

If you don’t have accees to a megger or similar and know how to use one then its time for an engineer or a new cooker.

As hinted at in my last post, quite a few parts are now listed as obsolete for this machine.
