I’ve signed up direct with Daewoo. Buying them from Swift, two year guarantee and I do any repairs. Not bad machines for the price.

My understanding at the swift show was that if you buy from Swift the you can do seller service ,ask Daewoo for a form and they will sort you out

Yeah, service what you sell.
Do you need to register the appliance as with Amica? or is it just the form that comes with the appliance?Steve

Register with Daewoo and they give you a spares account no. and use this to invoice. The appliance has to be registered with them online or by form for the 2 yr guarantee. I tell the customer if problems to ring me first.

Hi Guys
I was just wondering if anyone has put through any claims on these yet?
I have had a couple of issues with two models
DWF1411 & DWDG1441S both direct drives. The problems that I have had are excessive tapping noise and appliance moving around too much.
I located the noises one from the waste hose slapping against the side panel the small foam sleeve is a waste of time, refitted some pipe lagging which has quietened it down.
The other is the cables in the loops not secured properly allows the cables to slap against the side panel they are not enough ties to hold cables tight. The issues on both direct drive 7kg and 8kg are that they are top heavy! This allows extra movement and bounce from the feet.
I guess they would be better suited if on a solid concrete floor as they would be less likely to walk about!
unfortunatly mine were both wooden flooring on lino which makes things a lot worse. One customer refused repair and has had an exchange and purchased a different brand!
The other had an exchange same model and same noise has appeared so did the pipe lagging, made sure it is tight in corner not hitting anything and lock feet well in place, which seems to be better although imo still noisier than it should be!I have had to chase up for the service visits as no authorisation was given for initial call, so a bit disapointed in the system at the moment hope its just teething problems.
Also FYI the DWDM1231 6kg machines just note they appear not to be coming through with any rubber cuffs on the drain hoses!!
