had a quick look mate didnt see much in the way of cracks or dryness ,there is a terminal in between the two main terminal connections on the heating element it looks like a micro switch you would find in the door handle do you know if that is a thermostat?

No, right first time. It’s a water pressure activated microswitch. So if there isn’t sufficient pressure of water pumping through the heater box, then the switch won’t work and the heater won’t heat! 😉

left this m/c and it was working , customer rang a day later with same symtoms water in bottom of tub , on inspection the m/c will keep taking in water for a few minutes and then start operating the float switch on and off quickly and then stop after a few more minutes , sounds like the bosch problem with the jug impeller , but i cant find one on this model anyone know what siemens use instead of the impeller thanks

Classic case that there still is either a blockage in the transfer pipe or that the red float is sticking. Take off and clean both parts again I would suggest then check the water level once it stops filling. (should lap the threads of the salt container.)
This machine does NOT have an impellor jug by the way.

al parts clean as a whistle Martin,I removed the pipe from the sump to the metering chamber/float area it was blocked solid with gunge also the float chamber was grimey i soaked that in toilet cleaner and is clean the only other area i can think of is the hoses that feed the bottom of the metering chambers there is one inlet from the main water feed and 2 others one blue hose going to the regeneration block and i cant remember where the other ribbed hose goes to i think its the back of the sump ? i took off the 2 ribbed hoses and they looked clean , but i didnt remove the blue hose its smaller diameter like a garden hose variety, could these be blocked somewhere else ?

Could be the motors not firing up or is seizing up ? Could also be the reason for no heat I.e no water flow = no pressure = no heat . Normally , the circ motor will kick in before the machine is full .

yeah i thought that too but its spinning ok when i stick a screwdriver into the vanes no power going to it to start it ? could it be a fill valve in the heater box i see there is a thermistor in there along with the heater and pressure switch

The circl. motor should turn easily so its either too stiff for the capacitor to turn it. The capacitor itself duff or the triac blown on the PCB?

had another go at this , no power coming to the motor from the control board to start it when filling , no power going to the pressure switch either , all cycles starting to fill but thats all , motor windings ok, wiring looks fine no chaffing at door and all hoses clean took out control board and it looks ok also , no burning or any visible marks all connectors attatched and secure , looks like board prob though
