    hi, got a hotpoint ew81 that was overheating. wifes cake burn to a frazzle.. bought a new digital thermometer and the relevent genuine top oven stat, set to 180deg n the new stat seems to have a massive overswing, goes up 230 deg then down to 180 deg ..anyone know if this is normal or have i a duff stat..thanks
