i have tried without success to get hold of a service manual for a indesit IDL 42 d/washer,so i felt i should ask on this forum,i have replaced the element (it was faulty) it goes through all cycles BUT does not heat, if i had a wiring diagram it would make things easier, is there more than one stat or any other item which can cause heating problems,if it is the programmer are they easy to repair

Are you posting from Espana. 😉

That model number is not recognised by any UK parts or tech software so we cannot be specific.

It is safe to say that Indesit machines have some of the worst electronics on the market.

yeh in españa!! i think it would be a IDL40 in the uk,i bought the element from white goods, are the PCBs that bad ? i suppose the board could be repaired as it seems a very costly item,

    Re: d/washer heating ?

No the PCB’s are not that bad, they are downright awful.

None of the UK companies that repair domestic appliance PCB’s will touch these AFAIK.

Its possibly the heater relay on the board that is at fault but I have not heard of many success stories as far as board repairs on these go. 😥
