Hi, I have an Hygena APM 2590 cooker hood and the fan isn’t working but the light is. I’ve done a AC probe test on the motor and switchboard to identify the problem but neither of them are showing a live result, even though the light is working.
Can anyone advise?
Firstly, never do a live test..there is absolutely no need to.
Secondly, these hoods are shockers for the solderjoints on the switch pcb letting go. This is usually obvious by the burn marks around the joint in question but not always.
Best advice is to simply resolder all the joints on the pcb, reinstall and test.
