This code appears a few minutes into the wash programme during water heating cycle. Water is warm (but not hot)so I thought maybe thermostat was wonky. Could this be pcb fault? All help gratefully received! ❓

No thermostat as such on these, temp controlled by an NTC.

A99 is not a recognised error code but could be a corrupted A09 error code.

This is a communications error meaning that there is a problem between the control PCB and the main PCB in the base.
It could just be bad connections or broken wiring but as this is an Indesit machine then PCB failure is also quite likely. :rolls:

Thanks for that. That seems to make sense. Thoroughly checked all wiring, nothing loose. PCB not expensive for this model so hopefully that will do the trick.

Facia PCB is not bad at around £38 but the main PCB which could also be the cause of this error is around £60 and needs to be programmed with a smart card & card reader, another £120 on top for those. 😉
