hi has anyone come across any hotpoint washers less than 2 yrs old with the earlier type bolted together tub , i came across one the other day it was produced in late 2009. i cant imagine hotpoint having a rethink and doing such a sensible thing , i strongly advise my customers not to purchase any brand with sealed tubs inc. all merloni range zanusie , even bosch are at it

…..but the future of welded tubs is well established and very soon all machines will be made this way. We have to learn to deal with it and move on too. Years ago you could replace every single part of a motor and drain pump. Motors and pumps have been single, non-repairable items for donkeys years. Pardon the intended pun here but now it’s the drums turn. 😛

Thats why i mainly only sell gorenje and ise machines they come with 5yr and 10yr respective full parts and labor warranties which could ultimately mean the end for all other rubbish

10 years is an awfully long time in the grand scheme of all things whitegoods but as long as the punters fall for it (ATPOS)then what’s the worry eh? 😉
