ParticipantHi there, can anyone help, please?
My machine performs the full cycle on each programm but at the very end when it stops it starts to pump water in.
I have replaced the pump- not helped, and have looked at the PCB board and cannot see any obvious damage. I do not know what is causing the problem and in turn, which spare part I should purchase to replace..
Any help GREATLY received, thanks..
The machine is only 17months old, BEKO and Argos have been no help..December 12, 2011 at 4:43 pm #365298kwatt

Is the water valve opening or is the water coming back in from the waste pipe?
Replacing the drain pump wouldn’t have helped, do you mean you replaced the water valve?

Hi K,
we replaced the drain pump as at first we thought this was why there was water remaining in the bottom of the drum when it had finished, but it is pumps water in from the water valve immediately after the machine reaches 0.. We’ve watched it enter the soap drawer

Okay.
The water valve doesn’t pump, it just open and the water pressure and gravity do the work. No pumping required.
The water drain pump will evacuate the machine only.
If it’s filling when off then it’s most likely either the water valve that’s faulty although, it should fill constantly if that’s the problem or, possibly the main control PCB.

Thanks for your help, I fear it is the main PCB and sorry I used the word pump in the wrong context, but it seems you understood..
Would you happen to know is the PCB board could be damaged by heat/damp? The layout of our home means the machine is in a frame under our hot water tank. we dry washing in there as it gets so warm, like an airing cupboard.
we’re fearfull of putting another machine in there as this is the second in 5years, or we may have just been unlucky.
looking at Miele next!
really appreciate your helpS
