was wondering if anybody knew of a tool to remove the bolts in the aeg motors the older ones, some motors had 2 bolts and some had 4.tool my friend has snapped and need to recon the motor ive got ie put new bearings in it.
Three makes of motor usually cover AEG’s : Sole, Ceset & FHP all three have welded drive pulleys so how could you possibly replace the pulley side bearing anyway?
the bearings can be relaced in these ones fhp type you need pullers and a vice and it can be done trust me done plenty.the poulleys are not welded on i refer to aeg machines models ranging from the first lavamat 561 971 605 610 6080 all these type no sole or ceset.
OK so on the bolt issue why not simply break the existing bolt fixings and replace with long nut’n bolts fitted on the likes of (for example) Hotpoint motor fixing bolts? (part no’s easily available)….. 💡
hotpoint to long anyway would rather get something to remove them with properly.breaking bolts could attack them with angle grinder but there position aint that easy
