Just purchased a second hand drinks chiller which was working, transported it home, left for a week then turned on, light and internall fan ok but no external fan or refridgeration part working. Any idears or things i could check, its a commercial type.

If it is in a cold garage around 5 – 8c it no worky,they dont pull down as cold as standard refigerators and if in cold ambient they have no need to come on although internal fan normally runs constantly.
Mechanical thermostat is usually inside on the back plate,often dont like being moved,could check for continuity,might be access from the rear by removing panel.
If it has a digital controller at the bottom its a different issue,might be an on off button on it to press?.

Took off front top cover, pulled off wiring from thermostate switch ( manual thermostate) and replaced connection , plugged stove back in and hay presto it worked. Thanks for your help.

I have got a large double door chiller in a shed. I had to raise the roof of the shed because the refrigeration unit is on top of the cabinet. I put in an extractor fan built it’s simpler and cheaper just to leave the door open in the summer if it is running and I only run it when there is a beast in it. I also keep a couple of chest freezers in there and often have teh door open for them. This would probably work if there was enough tubing coiled in the fridge. The way I would regulate it would be to put the power head on a temp controller. You could probably get a used controller cheap. The tubing is the tricky part. Plastic or rubber tubing does not transfer heat well. The only metallic tubing you could use would be titanium, or possibly 316 series stainless. The titanium is the best but most expensive way to go.
