ParticipantHey all,
Customer complains of intermittent washing success, also at end of cycle “a pump runs constantly until switched off”.
I was at this m/c a few months ago for no heat and I resoldered the relay leg and while i had it out I cleaned the side matrix and transfer tube.
When i looked at it the other day (without taking it out) i put it on a wash and when it got to the wash stage I opened the door to see if the arms had been turning when i opened the door the wash pump was still running, however it only seemed to be running at low speed and water was only barely coming out of the arms.
I could open and close the door and the wash pump would still pump, albeit weakly.
Customer also says that it is the same noise as at the end of the wash, ie. wash pump running.I had one once before where the wash pump appeared to be running slowly at the end of the cycle and i never got to the bottom of it as it stopped doing it after a while.
This customer has two of these machine side by side and although she is saying this started after i was at it, he insists that this has happened on and off for years – on both machines!
Can anyone tell me how to put it on a test programme or has anyone even had this snag before.
Any info much appreciated.
Dave

It’s not something I’ve encountered before Dave. 😕
It can only possibly be the Control Module causing this so I’d take a look at the surface components carefully as I would expect to see a blown triac most likely.
The other caution of course is the water diverter in the heater could also blow a track on the board? Whatever, it ain’t gonna be a cheap fix that’s for sure! 🙁

Thanks Martin.
I’m thinking it has to be the board too, but i refuse to admit it without checking that I’ve not missed anything…cheers

Could be something caught in the wash motor impellor , giving poor circulating pressure . This would also stop the appliance from heating which would cause it to run continuouisly ???

I wish that was the case but a lot of the time it washes perfectly fine and then only at the end does it do the odd continuous wash pump thing
