Participantanyone had leaking from the soap drawer one hour into the dry cycle, changed the dispenser assy twice, telephoned LG technical they have never had that one but we will ring you back (still Waiting). it looks as if the steam from the drying is condensing in the soap dispenser front.
any idea’s welcome.Cheers Bob.

There isn’t meant to be a rubber non-return valve flap type thingy at the tub end of the soap drawer hose is there ?
This seems to have the most wierd looking fill system on the diagram as well 😕

I doubt you’ll get the call tbh, there’s no technical bulletins for that model on the LG site.
The flap thing would be at the tub end of the hose, so you wouldn’t see it, it may even be inside the drum where the hose connects, there is nearly always something to stop steam etc entering the dispenser.

Allready checked the web site Dave,
The fill hose from the dispenser is a plastic pipe, but like you say it may have a flap at the machine end, will try LG Tech again as the customer need a resolution soon.November 4, 2004 at 4:24 pm #119194eastlmark

domt know that machine at all but that fault was always down to a blocked condenser on old Hotpoint washer driers.

The u tube shape of the inlet hose(dispensor to tub) should trap water from the last fill and not allow steam to rise into the draw area when on tumble.
So is there water in the trap?If not why not?
If yes, then steam is returning via the breather and the most likely cause is its not draining away correctly…ie steam and too much humidity in the tub and not being condensed…
hope that helps.
