Any help would be much appreciated. Have an Indesit WG1034T..14 years of great service no repairs, as per Indesit L6.S.GB which preceeded it. Over the past few months it has been getting very fiesty on the spin cycles, a couple of times I have had to switch it off to restart the spin cycle to prevent damage to the machine or the kitchen. Using mainly synthetic cycles now as the spin is less aggressive. My question is…is this just old age or is it a fault I can have an engineer out to, (wouldn’t have a clue how to do a ‘self repair and would probably do more harm than good..always best to have someone who knows what they are doing) and also is this something that will become more expensive with time as would like to keep this fantastic machine which has took some hammering going! Spinning with no clothes in the machine is as good as new with the odd rattle. And is it repairable?

To be honest, at 14 years old (apart from being a minor miracle for an Indesit) it doesn’t owe you anything.

It’s likely just old age and I’d suspect bearings.

They are always repairable and rarely too expensive for those old types.

I thought I was the only one with a miracle Indesit washer !! I have the WG1086, bought in 2001, and only this week has it gone wrong – never had to call an engineer out ! 😀

Now all I need to decide is “Am I feeling lucky” or do I go for an ISE this time round ??
