Hi, I have a Zanussi WJS1265W washer/dryer (the one with the yellow buttons at the front and all the lights) and sometimes, when I have pressed all of the buttons to select the programme to run and then press the start button, everything clears from the selection and I have to make it again. This doesn’t happen every time, but when it does I have to make the selection at least once more before it will start.
Any suggestions? I have had (and fixed, for a while anyway) the E90 problem in the past, but not recently.

I would hope by now you’ve had a repair done or you have managed to do it by yourself. If not it does sound like the same thing E90 a communications error between the display PCB and main PCB or a configuration code error. Try and clean the PCB and the ribbon connection between the PCB’s this sometimes works but you usually end up replacing the display PCB.

All thats wrong is that the wiring connection to the interface pcb at the front needs cleaning up this was very common on this model.

How is it wrong captaincaveman i said to clean it 1st as well and if that didnt work to replace the interface PCB i’ve been to loads of these over the years and cleaned the connections on the interface PCB and most of the time they have come back in within a short time resulting in the replacement of the interface PCB. Don’t forget the reported error was E90 thats a consumer error code not the actual 1. The 1 in the diagnostics could easy be any of the E90’s codes.

I’ve also been to my fair share of these over the years an have had little success with just cleaning the connections on the interface most of the time i’ve had to change the interface PCB as well.

bigcol78 i never said you were wrong but what was wrong and i hadnt reliazed you had replyed as im still getting used to how this forum works being a newbie else i wouldnt of posted. I agree on changing the board if its the early version with the solder tracks on the one side but if its the later then theres no point
