Is the tub on a Zanussi ZWD16581W welded, or just “sealed”? I have a customer saying the two halves of the tub are “glued” together, but the bearings and tub front are apparently available as spares. I’m confused as welded tubs shouldn’t have bearings and front halves as spares – but I thought all tubs were clipped or screwed together.
the tds disk shows it a split tub for replacement as the welded tubs were not available at the time, very costly as you have to order all the bolts to reasemble it. if you post up the product code i will look up the welded tub part number.
I had one of these washer driers before Christmas. It was in fact a welded unit and TDS showed a split tub assembly. Only found the welded unit on Connections. It worked out cheaper to buy all the parts for the split tub than to buy a welded replacement, which is ridiculous. Still over £220 worth of parts, mind you. But hey, Lux will sell you a new’un, no probs.
