    Hi,

I’m hoping someone can help as my Bosh Classixx Slimline dishwasher has just stopped working.

    The numbers from it are:
    SRS4 3C12 GB/23
    FD 8502

It was running a cycle and just never came to the end. I can force it to end by pushing the reset buttons but then when I turn it on again to run a new cycle it makes a kind of rumbly sound for a little while(like a timer turning)then this stops after a little while but it refuses to fill with water or do anything else (all the noises are the usual noises for the machine). If I leave it then it will continue to make this rumbly sound for a little while at certain intervals but that’s all it does.

If I force a program end I can hear the drain pump operating (louder grumbly sound) and the program end light comes on.

All it seems to do now is sit and make the sort of light grumbly sound for a few minutes every so often but nothing else.

I did have the side panel off it and if I move the light blue bar to activate the micro switch on what looks like a float chamber it sounds like it is then trying to pull in water (I’d have to reconnect it to the water supply to confirm) but it definately makes a pumping type noise. Also if I activate the other micro switch on this assembly using the red rod I can hear the drain pump working but it doesn’t seem to want to do anything by it’s self. Can anyone offer any advice ???

Sorry for the long winded amateur explanation but I wanted to give as much information as possible.

Many thanks in advance for your help
    Chris.

I don’t know the model at all but, if it doesn’t drain it won’t do anything else. So, if the pump’s had it or the machine thinks there’s water in it it’ll just sit there trying to clear the sump.

Re: Please Help Bosch Dishwasher Problem

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply Kwatt. The machine drains fine when you press the two buttons to reset the program. When it originally refused to end the cycle it was running it had drained all the water away, It just never came to a cycle end and the end light come on.

If I turn it on now to run a cycle it doesn’t do anything except make the sort of grumbling noise (not drain pump but something else like a timer) it always made this noise and was normal at intervals throughout the cycle. It only ever lasts in bursts of a few seconds but it’s like it’s stuck as it does nothing else apart from this. As soon as I press the two buttons to reset and force it to finish a cycle the drain pump fires into action for a while and then the end light comes on as it would normally at the end of a program.

If I mess about with the micro switches on the float chamber ?? thingy I can make the drain pump and what sounds like the fill pump operate using the different ones but it just doesn’t seem to want to do anything automatically. I looked at the PCB behind the switches and there is no evidence of any burnt out components or dry joints.

Any ideas or advice gratefully received as everything appears to work, just not automatically 😕

    Many thanks again
    Chris

    Hi,

Can anyone tell me if this model has some form of timer unit or is everything run from the control PCB behind the buttons ?

    Thanks
    Chris.

It’s all controlled with the PCB (no timer fitted on this).

Reading through your report makes me think that the water inlet valve is not operating. After the initial first drain out at the start of any cycle it should fill next.

So I’d check out the inlet valve if I were you. 💡

Re: Please Help Bosch Dishwasher Problem

Thanks for the help guys. Wife got bored of it laying around the kitchen so had to get rid of it. The little Bosch takes the mystery of it’s problem to the local recycling centre 🙁

    Thanks again
    Cheers
    Chris.
