    HI, HOPING THAT YOU CAN HELP ME…..

    WE HAVE A SAMSUNG FRIDGE/FREEZER, MODEL NUMBER SR-S22. WE HAVE HAD IT FOR 8-9 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM UNTIL YESTERDAY. I NOTICED THAT THE ICE BOX (AT THE TOP OF THE FREEZER) WAS FULL, THIS HAS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES SO WE JUST EMPTY ALL THE ICE OUT AND START AGAIN. I TRIED TO PULL THE ICE BOX OUT BUT IT WAS LODGED SO I GOT THE ICE OUT BY HAND BY LIFTING THE FLAP UP. I GOT ALL THE LOOSE ICE CUBES OUT BUT THERE WAS A HUGE CLUMP STUCK TOGETHER UNDER THE ICE TRAY WHICH TIPS THE ICE INTO THE BOX. I FINALY MANAGED TO GET THE ICE DISLODGED AND FREE THE ICE BOX SO IT WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY. WHEN I WAS PUTTING THE ICE BOX BACK IN A REALISED THE TRAY WAS TILTED AND TRIED TO GENTLE PUSH IT BACK INTO THE NORMAL POSITION BUT IT WOULD BUDGE, I THEN LEFT IT OVER NIGHT TO SEE IF IT WOULD SORT ITSELF OUT BUT IT HASN’T! I READ IN THE MANUAL THAT IF IT GOES WRONG THEN YOU HOLD DOWN THE RESET BUTTON FOR 8 SECONDS SO THAT IS WHAT I DID AND NOW THE ICE TRAY IS UPSIDE DOWN AND HAS TWISTED THE TAP AT THE TOP WHERE THE WATER COMES OUT TO FEED THE ICE TRAY.
    HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM OR KNOWS OF A SOLUTION?

    Hi

    Full model correct model number would help but at a guess its either RS21 or SRS20 range.

    The ice tray has been refitted upside down,remove the ice mould and refit the correct way up.If it then fails again dependent on the model depends if its the ice maker or the pcb that will need to be replaced.

    Hi Bryan thanks for replying

    Model Number is SR-S2028CVW
    The ice tray has never been taken out it has twisted itself upside down and is now stuck. Its also stopped trying the fill the ice tray up with water. can i try to force the ice tray out and put in proper way up?
