    I have a hoover vhc680f tumble drier and it won t start up. If you push the start button after a few seconds a clicking noise is heard and thats it.

    If you spin the drum then close the door and press start the drier will work, any ideas guys?

    Replace the motor CAPACITOR.:wink:

    Awesome I had read on the web this might be the fault, can I buy one through this site?

    Hoover only list the motor and not the capacitor, is the capacitor the same as on other models? Or is the capacitor part of the motor?

    I ve fitted the Capacitor and the machine works!! happy days.

    The only issue is its not getting hot, could the thermostats have tripped?
