ParticipantHi again. Thought I’d post here as you were all so helpful last time. I bought a Bosch WAS32460 front loader last March…best washing machine i have ever, ever owned.
I had noticed of late that the spin cycle seemed noiser than what i’d been used to, but left it at that. Said washing machine continued to turn out load after load of washing, day after day.
Until tonight. I get home and no security lights come on, and me heart sinks… 😥 yes all the power off in the house and I quickly found its the washing machine which is upsetting my trip switch. Managed to unlock the door via the emergancy tag in the filter area, unloaded the washing, and it seems to have gone through a whole wash and full spin…but as soon as i power up the machine DONK! off goes the trip switch. No signs of leaking anywhere.
I’ll ring Bosch tommorrow…but in the meantime, any ideas? This is my fourth Bosch washing machine (and by far the most expensive) and is the first one to go wrong before the warranty has ended. Is this to be expected? Thanks lads 😕

Hello Martin
Thanks for that. I called Appliances Online, who are the ones who sold it to me. The girl was so helpful and arranged a call with Bosch. She did it all for me. They are coming on Saturday. In the meantime, my ‘spare’ washing machine isn’t working 😥 Could you look at the Daewoo thread? Thanks again.

Me again…I have tried my machine out again, and so far, no tripping :rolls: It is on a main-wash as I type. I did a rinse and spin, and the spin was just as horrendously noisey as ever. I checked the pump filter (like Bosch told me to) and there was a piece of metal in it. Silver colour, about an inch long, curved in the middle and looks like the letter ‘M’. At one end I can see where it has sheared off something.
This piece looks like nothing I have seen before and is too big to fit between the tiny gap bewteen drum and door seal. I’m coming to the conclusion it must have fallen off from inside the drums. Is this possible? I’m concerned as Bosch said if no fault is found then I’ll be charged a call out. 😐 I know something just isn’t right.
Thanks.

The piece of metal turns out to be one half of the heater bracket. The heater has been all over the place since, it seems. The guy from Bosch was heaven-sent. Part now on order and they are coming on the 1st of February to fit it, all being well. I am told it is a huge, huge job as the whole machine has to be stripped down. I have no idea how this has happened. My local washer repair guy said it could be coin damage, which I can’t see as i never ever have coins in my clothes. The Bosch guy said he had no idea at all as to how it occured.
Any ideas?
