Bosch SG156A26GB/45 – will not start

I have a Bosch SG156A26GB/45 dishwasher. I switched it on on Thursday and is started as normal. However when I came back later to empty it, I noticed there was no LED lights on. Opening the door the machine has apparently got to the stage of taking in water and had just about opened the powder tray door but doesn’t appear to have gone much further.

I checked the socket – it’s a fused spur type socket as opposed to one that takes a normal socket from an appliance. The fuse is OK but can’t really check any further without the aid of an electrician.

The display shows absolutley nothing so it appears there is no power.

Any ideas as to what might be wrong and is it worth a repair? The dishwasher is at least 5 years old and may be older.
