ModeratorEnr..SGS30602GB/02 ( I did double check that Enr No: but it doesn’t register on the BSH eSpares site) 🙁
Old style mech timer job, customer says it sticks a few impulses into programme 2 and does not release the dispenser lid.
Dispenser solenoid is OK, set it to programme 1 ( 65° Intensive ) and the heater came on perfectly.
Set it to programme 2 ( 65° normal ) and it fills, washes, timer advances approx three steps then sticks with no heat, no dispenser operation, just washing away.
All of wiring harness looks fine, even manually clicking the timer through step by step will not release the dispenser solenoid.
The problem is the customer says that on the odd occasion it will work on this setting. 😕
I’m leaning towards a timer fault, anyone know the part number of same please?
TIA.
Jim.

Where did that pesky ‘0’ sneak in, 😳 thanks Don.
Anyone else agree with my prognosis?

yes, you need to update your glasses 😀
Have you checked for a feed to the dispenser coil with a meter? the only reason I say that is that the coils on these dispensers work painfully slowly and simply clicking through the program would not give it enough time for any mechanical action to take place. Therefore it could still be a heater related issue, heater itself, the stat on the top of the heater or loose connections in the loom plug just by the heater (had one of these before xmas with that exact poblem due to a pin outage in the plug there.) IME the timers on these are very reliable.

Yes, checked feed to dispenser (none) and had the heater running fine on Prog 1 for at least 10 minutes.
I agree that the number of timers changed on these or the Hotpoint clones is minimal but I have done the odd one over the years, mainly for sticking at certain spots as well.

Thermostat could be intermittent.
