This is another con outfit I don’t think has had a mention on here before? The reason I brought it up is that they are doing a National TV ad campaign at the moment so you may spot their advert

It works just the same as all the other (Checkatrade etc etc) in that they charge a FEE for each and every ‘referral’. :rolls: The trouble is that these guys ‘fees’ are rated far higher than the tradesman could possibly earn from that referral. I mean like stupid money when a job could perhaps gross £50 they charge £4 referral. You also have to pay them approx £140 a year to be on their books and finally referrals can go to your competitors too if they are registered with them.

What a cracking con these guys are on…..mugs away!!!! 😈

Are you saying Checkatrade is a waste of time Martin , I’ve been a Trusted trader member since September last year , and have had average response so far. Had a letter from Trusted trader scheme today saying that they will be linking there website with Checkatrade because of poor take up of the scheme in our area.
I only signed up with the scheme cause it was backed by Trading Standards and in these tough times, would give my company better credability.
Trusted Trader do advertise well so am hoping word will get round to the public to inform of Proffesional Tradesmen- well here’s hoping anyway.

    Re: Rated People?

Since when has charging money for a service been a con ?

What is the connection to our industry anyway ?

There are no Appliance categories on there.
