DE 2541slim hi guys iv`e tried to find any info on this dishwasher and it seems near on impossible, can anyone help! came home from work and wife informs me the dishwasher dosnt work, right ok! when you turn the power button to ON, even though no program has been selected it starts off draining (tried a cpl of liters of water) if you press the start button (dosnt matter which program you use), you can hear an additional hummm, but where it should start releasing water into the machine via the blades, it dos`nt! also after a few minutes you can smell a strong burnt out smell ie: one of the coils. i had it on its side and found a burnt out connector block to the main pump motor, so repaired that. now i`m thinking it could be the solenoid valve on the inlet, but whats confusing me is the fact the machine is draining as soon as the power is switched on?!…so was wondering if the pcb has also gone ?…any help would be appreciated, ADDITIONAL INFO: tried to switch it on again, now its completly dead no power! any ideas or a point in the right direction. just need to know what to look for really before i disconnect the water again and drag it into the living room?! :rolls:

    Hi,

It sounds as if the overflow protection has been activated and is locked.

When that happens, this is exactly the behaviour that you can expect as the dishwasher tries to empty water that isn’t there.

That could be caused by a blockage, pressure sensor fault, control PCB and possibly a faulty inlet valve.
