    Hi I have been to the above m/c it was tripping rcd and the door was not opening so I fitted a new door lock and it clicked 3 times and then the rcd tripped again and the door stayed locked again.I have read posts about the motor causing problems with the door lock is there anything I can do to check this before ordering a new motor I have checked the brushes and connections all seem ok.Has anyone come across this before?

    What was the insulation reading on the motor?

    Cheers Martin sorry for not replying earlier you were right there was a leak to earth from commutator.
