Dead Neff DW – not the module

I went to a Neff S5443X2GB/44 integrated dishwasher that had no lights showing on the PCB and seemed dead. On testing I found live and neutral present at the module, but no response, so we bought in a new module. Much to my surprise this did not change the condition at all. The loom was undamaged and as I said the switch seemed to operating as L and N were present at the module plugs.

As it was not the module, and assuming the new module was OK (It came from BSH) does anyone have any suggestion, hints or past experiences of a similar occurrance? I am somewhat mystified!
