Have only used them for washer boards for which they were OK. They’ve been going long enough; they must know what they’re doing.
I would say you should be entitled to expect your money back on the ones that did not work but which worked with new boards.

i have got lots of w/m boards from them, they repair the boards that i have sent them. Dont think they do the hot/ind programmable boards though. Quality electronic repairs(QER) seem reasonable prices and fast turn around time.

Occasionally get a problematic one but mostly repaired well. They do some of the dishwasher boards as well, I’ve used them for Smeg boards in the past.

i find them dreadfull to deal with.
and will never deal with them again, you pay for repairs to boards up front which dont work then they dont issue credit notes then when you call them they have no idea what you are talking about.
then again the A.N.other pcb repairer has taken their eye off the ball recently as well i only get a pcb if absolutely nescessary often finding a new one costs about the same as a repair.February 5, 2012 at 8:51 pm #368280GPservice

To be honest have never used QER but have heard of them, i find no problem with EMW never had a problem, but mainly now just order new boards if cost effective.

Personally I use EMW if I can but I am finding they only repair a limited amount of boards, QER seem have a larger range and are willing to try to repair most boards.
Was supprised that EMW dont repair Servis Janus range pcb’s. Sent one off to QER and fitted last week worked a treat.

Have to remember that EMW were primarily a timer repair service rather than pcb’s while QER always did the electronic stuff. EMW though have an excellent Indesit Hotpoint pcb service which is second to non.
has always bothered me though that both these companies dont ask what the fault symtoms are on faulty boards…February 7, 2012 at 12:21 am #368283leavemetogetonwithit

If they didn’t do it that way, there might be two faults and you had only found one, thus you’d get a board back with one fault still on it. Tony told me they test them after repair too, on an actual machine. Presumably it’s set up as a rig to represent many different models.
Maybe WTA could get factory visits to these places?
