Called to this machine this morning, I was only expecting to have to do a reset, suspected the elderly customer may have been confused but sadly not so.

I didn’t have all of my ISE spares with me, I just popped in as I was in the area.

She says it was on a wash which it appeared to complete perfectly but when she came to empty the machine the prewash light was flashing.

If you switch the machine on the Quickwash and Ready lights are on steady and the Prewash light is flashing.

This cannot be cancelled or reset, it will not go into diagnostics mode, or do anything at all except display these lights. 😕

Checked all components, motor, pump, heater etc for insulation faults, all OK. Visual check on PCB shows no signs of damage.

Going back next week armed with motor/doorlock/PCB etc.

Anyone come across this or have any idea what could be causing the problem?

    Jim.

Should be on the DVD thing Jim is it not?

I don’t have a copy here at home.

I have poured over the fault flow charts in the manual but can find no reference to this. 😕

Never seen it before and as it won’t go into diagnostics it sadly leaves me with the try this try that option ATM. 😥

    :clown:

Think I have sussed it, in my defence it has been a hard week with several, tricky calls.

I think the damned child lock has been accidentally activated.

Just done a search in trade tech for Beko+prewash and it was the first answer. 😳

DOH,Just spoken to customer, it was set on child lock. :rolls:

She must have done it accidentally, TBH I don’t know of a single customer that actually uses the child lock option.
