    Hi,

The water softener unit on this machine is blocked. I under stand that a mod kit is available for this so as to do away with replacing the unit.

The service bulletin quotes as follows:

“The modification can be carried out on all dishwashers produced in the Solaro-ZM (MI) factory, on “New Structure” or “Evolution” 60cm models with electronic board 1_5, EDW1000 (Minitronic) and ITRONIC. THE SOLUTION CANNOT BE APPLIED ON DISHWASHERS WITH MECHANICAL TIMER.”

Can someone tell me if the model above falls under these instuctions. Is the mod a good one or should I change the tank.

    Many thanks in anticipation.

The above bulletin I suspect relates to a poor drainage fault, where water is left in the sump due to air locks. A pcb was added to give a pulsing effect. Can you supply the bulletin number?

If we are talking about sludged IWMS, then a repalcement is the best option along with the modified valve kit, part number of which depends on how many valves on the IWMS.

Shouldn’t tell you too much as it could be a call for us to pick up, but I would imagine you are up to speed on that range by now anyway.

    Thanks Alex,

The machine is one I aquired and am doing up for a pal who is willing to pay for the parts. I think I will change the tank.

Incidentally can the user instuctions be obtained from anywhere?

Below is the begining part of the service bulletin which is on TDS under the above PNC, listed at bottom of this selsction on TDS as Doc File 599358870:

    “DISHWASHER

    2430

    SERVICE BULLETIN

OBSTRUCTION OF LEVEL CONTROL SYPHONS ON IWMS

“NEW STRUCTURE” & “EVOLUTION” 60cm DISHWASHERS (2nd edition)

IMPORTANT: This 2nd EDITION differs from the previous one, since some modifications

have been introduced in the paragraph “Instructions for Service”.

The solution enables to solve the frequent problem of obstruction of the level control siphons, incorporated

in the IWMS, and the consequent stop of the appliance with the pressure switch on full (contacts 1-3) or on empty

(contacts 1-2). The problem is more frequent in areas where the water is ‘harder’ and when programmes at low

temperatures and low quality detergents are used and in case of heavy soil.

The solution makes it possible NOT TO HAVE TO REPLACE THE IWMS.”

    Thanks for your input Alex
