    National Dimension4 microwave model NE9870. On grill or convection the unit runs for about a minute and a half then cuts out displaying “FF FF” on the LED display. Reset and start again… stops again within 5 seconds… same code on display. Checked thermostats, disconnected, removed from heat sources, thermistor the same, disconnected the element, all the same…. Now what?? Any ideas?

    FFFF was always a thermistor fault on the early Dimensions, I would imagine it’s the same on this model Andy.

    Disconnecting it will give the same error code, I would replace it, I’m pretty sure it will solve the problem.

    It would appear not, in fact it’s a lot older than I thought, I just found this review of it:

    I’ll replace the thermistor and see it working.
    Age is around 1987… and it weighs a ton!
