I noticed that the freezer section was not getting down to the correct temp. It was showing around -10 when set for -24.
The fridge section seems ok. Fan OK in there and cooling seems right.
Took the Freezer baffles out and found that there was no ice around the cooling fins.
Checked the compressor temp and found it to be warm but bearable.
Am worried about the Fan. Have not been able to see this running. How do I know when the fan should be running? Should I expect to see it spinning every time the temperature is high?
Can I test it by plugging mains onto the 2 pin plug and getting it to spin up outside out of the freezer?
Yor advice will be warmly welcome!

Now managed to establish that the freezer fan is running. I put a white Snowpake dot on one of the blades. After about an hour it was clear that the blades have been spinning.
Read in one of the other topics that these fans don’t run until the temperature has lowered enough so that only cold air can get circulated. Thanks for that, folks, I can see the sense in that.Now I’m back where I started but I haven’t spent 75 quid on a fan!
What shall I do next?

Left the FF off for 12 hours and then plugged it back in.
After a couple of hours realised it was very hot. The freezer unit was pumping out heat like an electric fire. Presumably the defrost was stuck in the on mode.
Switched it all of and waiting for assistance. – & looking around for a new FF.
