    Miele Dish washer
    G638PLUS

Customer complaint was that the machine was not finishing its cycle and would be full of water.

I tested the heating circuits which are fine.
The empty pump showed no signs of being faulty.

I started the machine on an economy wash, this is what happened. Prog started by running empty pump, then filled, started wash action, then released tablet, turned on heating element, heated, switched off element, washing action continues….

now at this point i would expect the machine to wash for a while then empty and go onto rinses. However the wash action continued, i sat with machine for 45minutes and still the wash action continued, by this time the water inside had cooled to virtually cold tap water.

I suspect the PCB is at fault, is this a fair assumption or have i missed something simple?

Thanks for reading and any help is always greatly appreciated.

    Hi

I would have though if it was not continuing to heat the water to the proper temperature you would get a fault condition or the machine would at least stop.

As far as i can tell, the machine is sensing/heating to the correct temperature. It will turn the heater off when 50 deg. is reached, only it will not empty this water out, it will just continue to do the wash action.

I am correct in assuming that once the correct temperature has been reached the PCB will turn off the heating element, then wash for a timed period of about 5 minutes, THEN empty the tub and start the rinses.
