Hi guys looking for some help….

Got this dishwasher in house when I moved in a couple of months ago. Last night dishwasher stayed on for about 5 hours, so opened door to stop it.

Dishes were clean, but cold water was in machine and being sprayed around.

Killed power to machine, left it overnight, powered it on today, and still doing same thing.

Checked water inlet and outlet – they’re fine, no blockages – water sprays out, and then machine sucks in more water from cold supply.

It just seems to be stuck at the final rinse cycle, I reckon just needs reset. Although diplomat in their infinite wisdom don’t mention this in their instruction book. I’ve tried pushing buttons etc. but cannot figure out how to do it.

Anyone got any ideas? Am I on the right track?

i have the same prob with the 8102/1 that came with the house – except the dishes are not clean it seems to stop just before the wash cycle.
there isn’t a reset code in the book – would anybody else out there know a way to fool the dishwasher into starting up again?

What yopu both have sounds more like heating problems and resettting won’t help that in the least. The reset procedure is in the forums for these dishwashers if you want to try it, but I very much doubt it will make a jot of difference.

You’re looking at the heating circuit, possibly the pressure system or possibly a timer failure, but that’s not too likely. If you’re unsure of how to proceed I would advise getting a hold of an engineer familiar with the appliance/s.
