    Can anyone advise!!

Just recently when using both ovens at high temeperatures, say 200C the top oven will at a random time during cooking completely shut down including the lamp extinguishing a bit more than just the oven stat I feel. The oven then needs to completely cool before it is usable again. Any idea which temp. sensor is causing this and how easy it it to replace. I havent as yet taken any panels off to look for any obvious signs.

    Hi Ray,

If it were a new installation I’d suspect poor ventilation causing an overheat situation and tripping the safety stat out. Other than that it pretty much has to be a faulty stat, either the oven one allowing the appliance to overheat, or the safety stat which, in this case, is a little PCB.

    Hope that helps.

PS. Meant to add, there could be a faulty cooling fan as well that could cause this too.

    K,

Thanks for the info. Just to confirm one thing. Is there is a separate safety stat for each oven as the main oven continues to function.

I will disconnect gas and electricity and have a look tonight

It doesn’t look as if there is, but I’m only looking at a line drawing which ain’t the best it has to be said. The PCB isn’t even listed on the parts list yet is shown in the diagram. 😕

Welcome to dealing with the Italians! 😉
