Hi – we have inherited the above model in our new house and we think the seal has gone (water all over floor etc).
We think this model is now out of production so should we
Get a plumber in to fix the seal (how much would this cost?)
or
Buy a replacement
(are we stuck with hotpoint or can we replace with another make – the sizings are odd – H801 D 550 W 600Any advice greatly appreciated.

So far at least I am mystified over the model number you have given as it is not listed on Hotpoints information database 😕
Is this a UK sold brand? are you here in the UK? or maybe in Babylon (Iraq)???……….dunno ❓

It is on there Martin, just under the GDA brand name rather than Hotpoint for some reason 😕
It’s actually made by Brandt and rebadged.
The leak could be from a number of places really, it would be advisable to call an engineer to check as it may not be a huge problem. Replacement integrated dishwashers don’t come cheap and then you have the added hassles of installing the new one.

Thanks Dave, yes a GDA branded appliance (no wonder it didn’t show on the database as they are not labelled as Hotpoint usually).
Leaks on those machines are associated with internal blockages and not too costly to sort. As Dave suggests, go into our “Directories” section and put up your postcode with the independant agent listing to get it sorted 😉
