Before I rag this one out some info would be nice.Model number BDW 060/A from PAB Ltd. – made in France. What make is it and are there any spares? Machine starts and fills and then makes a coughing noise(apparently all night according to the customer)

depends what you mean by coughing noise

had a few whirlpools start and stop filling ie water valve opens then closes then opens and closes etc giving a cough like sound
was capacitor power supply on prog board

Sounds like it could be the same as I cant quite tell if the water level is correct.Machine I believe is a Brandt – I wasnt going to go any further with this one but if it just means removing the control panel I might have a go.

Its a brandt ,and if I recall the early ones had an askoll motor that goes like the whirlpools ones do i.e coughs and splutters , Ben Nevis would be the one to ask for certain though
