I have an Electrolux built-in Fridge Freezer Model ER 78311
Although it is otherwise working normally, it is cycling about every ten seconds in a way I can only describe as ‘breathing’.
It makes a sound a bit like a kettle when it’s about to boil. This lasts about 10 seconds, stops, then does it again after about ten seconds silence. The appliance is about 6 years old.
This goes on 24 hours a day.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Michael. 🙁
It sounds like system noise has it ever had ventilation provided on the wooden plinth at the bottom as the instructions state as if not then it could be on its way out
Thanks for that.
I can only say it was professionally installed and has been running OK for 6 years until now.
Is 6 years a normal ‘life span’?
The main reason for my plea is that I don’t wish to pay a call out fee just for some guy to say, “Sorry, you need a new one”.
Thanks for your help.
Michael.
6 years is about right as when they are intergrated they have to work harder . Just make sure whoever fits the new one reads the instructions regards the ventilation
